FMC's Sleep Disorders Center Relocates to Emergency Care Center in DavieMar 3, 2020
Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. (March 28, 2016) – The Sleep Disorders Center at Florida Medical Center, which opened last year, is moving from the Holiday Inn Express in Plantation to the 2nd floor of the hospital’s satellite Emergency Care Center in Davie.
The private, comfortable rooms at the new location are designed to get to the root of a patient’s sleep troubles. There are many common sleep disorders, from snoring and narcolepsy to chronic insomnia, all of which can be diagnosed, tested and treated at Florida Medical Center’s Sleep Disorders Center. The program has an equipped sleep laboratory for overnight evaluations, advanced technology and a team of experienced health professionals, led by Dr. Hassan Batayneh, a fellowship-trained neurologist.
Like exercise and proper nutrition, sleep is critical for good health and overall well-being. Sleep testing involves monitoring a patients’ physiology during sleep, so a specialist can review their electrical activity in the brain, oxygen levels, snoring and respiratory effort.
“We are pleased to provide a broad range of diagnostic and treatment services to help our patients achieve restorative sleep and good health,” said Trey Abshier, CEO of Florida Medical Center. “The goal of our Sleep Disorders Center is to offer an efficient program that provides timely scheduling of tests and fast reporting of results, so we can help patients resolve their issues as quickly as possible.”The Sleep Disorders Center is located at 10230 W. State Road 84 in Davie, Fla. For more information, please call (954) 653-3704, option 2 or email Sunrise.firstname.lastname@example.org
