Joint Replacement
The expert team of board certified surgeons, nurses, therapists and other caregivers at Florida Medical Center specialize in the diagnosis, education, care and treatment of joint replacement patients. We offer total or partial joint techniques by
combining clinical expertise and cutting edge technologies designed to help shorten recovery, minimize pain and achieve best-in-class outcomes.
Prior to having your surgery, you will receive a health assessment to help determine your preparedness for surgery. After your assessment, your doctor will give you a checklist of pre-procedure tasks to complete prior to your surgery. Of these tasks,
a pre-operative education class will be required for you to attend. This class gives you and your caregiver an overview of what to expect at all phases of your joint replacement. This course is held at the Florida Medical Center campus, and provides
you an opportunity to get familiar with the team, oriented with the hospital and ask any and all questions you may have, so come prepared!
Once you have completed all of the pre-operative tasks and education, you will be ready for surgery. Our goal is to help ensure that you are back on your feet as soon as possible. Your highly trained rehabilitation team will work with you during your
stay to help you recover at a pace that is appropriate for you.
